This concert presents traditional Greek, Romani, Armenian, Albanian, Turkish and Jewish music. These ancient songs of love and longing are like mystical poetry, encouraging self-reflectionn to help us release the old and welocme the new.

Kostantis Kourmadias – Saz, voice
Playing saz with virtuosity and deep emotion, Kostantis specializes in the oldest forms of traditional music, particularly island music and the Greek music of Asia Minor, where his grandparents were born. He teaches Byzantine music at the Pallini Music High School in Athens, and is also a master of the violin. Kostantis and Laura perform regularly at concerts and seminars in Greece, Europe, and the USA.
Laura Shannon – Dajre, bendir, doumberleki, spoons, shells, voice For over 35 years, Laura has dedicated her life to researching and teaching dance and music of the Balkans, particularly women’s ritual dances. Trained in Intercultural Studies and Dance Movement Therapy, she is one of the ‘grandmothers’ of the worldwide Sacred Circle Dance movement, offering inspiring seminars in twenty countries. Laura divides her time between Canterbury, Findhorn, and Greece.

Sound and Silence day retreat with Giles Mountain -Sunday11th June 10.30 am- 16.00 pm
Giles is hosting this retreat with his wife Katrin, an artist and shamanic practitioner. We will use sound and silence to help tap into the stillness at the heart of our being. and will be a day for re-energising and re-invigorating our body, mind and spirit whilst spending time in the beautiful Kent countryside.
There will be -
-Mantra chanting
-Shamanic journeying
-Honouring our names through song
-Offerings of healing sounds and tones to oursleves and the global community
-A labyrinth walk
-Finishing with a sound bath.
The day will be interspersed with periods of silent contemplation.
Snacks will be provided for during the day as well and as a nourishing vegetarian lunch.

Divine Presence

A day for coming home to ourselves and the Divine Presence within all of us

We'll arrive at a place of peace and become still to connect with
Divine Presence. We will recharge our energies and tap into the source within us.
With guidance from the divine feminine and the divine masculine, we learn a way of being that aligns us with perfect health, mindset, wealth and relationships. This will be done through prayer, meditation and the healing and creative arts.
Divine presence food and refreshments will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring your own blankets and cushions if you wish. These are also available at the Quiet View.
This day is open to all faiths and all forms of diversity are welcome here.
Expect a day of open-heartedness, connection, solitude and creation, in company or alone. The day is yours.
